Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve been getting your newsletter for a long time – but I can’t sign in and see what’s happening here.  Aren’t they the same thing?

Actually no.  The newsletter is a free service I provide to help gardeners and this material is for those who want to take their gardening to the next level.  The material here is all by subscription.

I’ve tried to sign in using the box on the top right hand side of the page but it doesn’t work.

There are two reasons for this.

The first is that you haven’t registered for a course – haven’t paid the fees – and the system won’t let you in.  You need to register here first. The second is you’ve already paid your course fees but have entered the username/password incorrectly.  Reset your password.  If this doesn’t work, contact Doug directly.

What’s the difference between a premium membership and what I have?

That’s a little tricky to answer if I don’t know what you have but I can identify your membership from your email so simply email me the question.  The Premium membership is a yearly subscription to every last bit of content and all downloads for an entire year. Plus the ability to ask questions and get answers about it all.  Think of it as having a direct online-gardening mentor who helps you sort out all the issues in your garden.

I signed up for a permanent membership in the Vegetable Course when you offered that.  Why can’t I access the Perennial Course?

Well, if you signed up for the vegetable course – you get full access to the vegetable course.  You’d have to sign up for the perennial course as well.

Why does all this material cost money?  Isn’t the Net supposed to be free?

Hmmm,  well sometimes things are free, and sometimes things cost money.   If you want tons of information and your questions answered, it’s going to take my time to do this so it’s going to cost money.   It’s up to you to decide if the information you need to have a better garden or your desire to take your garden to the next level is worth the money.  If you want to hunt stuff up on the Net for free and you’re happy solving your own problems then the Net is your choice.

I don’t like Paypal -can I send you a cheque?

Unfortunately, the software doesn’t work very well on manual mode and keeping track of manual entries is beyond what I have time to accomplish successfully. I rather like being able to write content for the site when compared to working away in some computer code to sort “stuff” out. Sorry.
